The Parish of Central Kings in New Brunswick is a three point rural parish serving three historic churches. Pictures of the churches and their story can be found on this link. Members of the three churches gathered at Bloomfield Hall for a Soup and Chowder potluck supper to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of PWRDF.

Christmas cookies over the holidays, a glass of champagne to toast the New Year…’tis the season to celebrate. But remember that “From Cookies to Champagne: 50 CAFE Events" is in season all year round! We are hoping the each Ecclesiastical Province will hold 50 events to celebrate PWRDF’s 50th anniversary. PWRDF has received an anniversary greeting from The Ecumenical Women's Network (REM) in Guatemala. Earlier this year the coordinator for REM, Miriam Iquique, suffered two assaults in addition to telephoned death threats that she had received previously. We continue to ask for your prayers of solidarity for Miriam, her husband and nine children, and for all those in Guatemala who are victims of violence.

Over PWRDF's 50 year history, many individuals have made a lasting difference in the lives of people around the world through their support for PWRDF. Here we present one such story.

There are people who live their lives quietly and humbly, never seeming to make many waves, but leaving a big impact in their wake. Harry Richard (Dick) Smith was one of these people.

10 young people from across Canada- Nunavut, Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland- gathered at the Sisters of St. John the Divine on the weekend of November 20-22 to begin their journey as the first group of PWRDF's 50 Leaders.

We are asking your support for KAIROS– Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives, a key partner for the development and justice work of the Anglican Church. Both the Anglican Church of Canada and The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund are member organizations of KAIROS together with nine other denominations and organizations.

The Canadian government’s decision to cut funding to KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives will have a devastating impact on KAIROS’ overseas partners and the thousands of marginalized people in local communities they support, KAIROS says.

KAIROS, a church based non-governmental organization that represents seven of Canada’s largest denominations, works on a range of social justice issues, including human rights in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

This Christmas give yourself and your loved ones the gift of music. One Voice is a double CD set of inspiration and celebration, featuring many well known Canadian singers, songwriters, musicians and choirs.

October 30 was an evening of celebration, inspiration and music as PWRDF diocesan reps, youth council members, board members, partners, staff and guests gathered to mark the 50th anniversary of The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund.
