One Voice CD

One Voice – a magical double CD set of inspiration and celebration from some of Canada’s top names in music, created to help raise funds for The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF). One Voice includes music donated by Canadian Music Hall of Fame member Bruce Cockburn, Celtic songstress Loreena McKennitt, top-ten star Serena Ryder, jazz great Oscar Peterson, rock fiddler Ashley MacIsaac, folk legend Stan Rogers, hip hop artist Shad, rock headliners Blue Rodeo, R&B pioneer Jully Black, our own Three Cantors, top Canadian choirs such as Elektra Women’s Choir, Chor Leoni Men’s Choir, U of A Madrigal Singers, Vancouver Chamber Choir and many others.

One Voice is a unique gift for Anglicans to proudly share with friends and family members. The CD sets will sell in Anglican churches for $20 each, and it is strongly recommended that parishes order early to avoid disappointment. Shipping will begin in early September 2009: the minimum order will be 10 CD sets (one case) plus shipping and handling. Primate's Blend Fair Trade Coffee

Now available to order: The Primate's Blend, a custom blend of shade-grown, organic fair trade coffees, available as regular or decaffeinated.

Shade-grown coffees are grown in jungle environments. The coffee bushes are grown under a shade canopy that is made up of a variety of trees and there are often companion plantings of tropical fruit trees. This means the plantations can support great local and migrating bird populations. These coffees are also certified organic – no pesticide or artificial fertilizers are used. The Primate’s Blend shade-grown coffee is also certified under the Fair Trade standard. This means that the farmers receive better than market returns for their coffee and support from the Fair Trade organizations.

Take a little time to enjoy a freshly-brewed cup of The Primate’s Blend coffee in the morning knowing that you are helping improve the lives of hardworking farmers and are directly contributing to the ongoing work of the PWRDF.

To order, please contact the Niagara PWRDF Committee at primatesblend@gmail.com. Each 300 gram package is $11.00 plus shipping, if required. Approximately $4.00 from each bag goes directly to PWRDF.

Partners

We encourage you to purchase fairly traded goods from PWRDF partners. PWRDF funding supports projects that produce the wonderful items you will find through the following links. By purchasing from partners you will be providing a direct financial contribution back to the project – and receiving a beautiful and unique product!

Ecumenical Women's Network (REM), Guatemala

As part of PWRDF’s 50th anniversary celebrations, we commissioned the women weavers of the REM to weave a number of stoles for sale in Canada. In purchasing and wearing one of these stoles, you are becoming part of their stories. But before you wear it, hold it close, feel its weave, breath in the faint smell of wood smoke emanating from the fabric, and remember that it was woven on a simple, back strap loom, by the home fire of a Guatemalan woman weaver. Stoles are $45.00 each including shipping costs in Canada. To purchase a stole, contact Jennifer Brown at jbrown@pwrdf.org, or 416-924-9199 ext 320
