On Sept 6, All Saints, Erin used a special liturgy as well as special recognition of PWRDF in the sermon and the intercessions. For the previous 3 weeks, parishioners were told about this special liturgy and were asked to consider a gift to PWRDF for the occasion. In a single day, the congregation of only about 50 members raised $1600 for PWRDF, independent of our regular parish offering.

The Ash Wednesday service this year at St John the Evangelist, Ottawa, was preceded by a PWRDF Poverty Supper at 5:30 pm. Beth Lorimer, a PWRDF Youth Council member, was the guest speaker, and the PWRDF anniversary DVD was enjoyed by all.

The Diocese of Toronto will host a 50th Anniversary Fiesta and dinner on November 23 at 6:00 pm.

St James' PWRDF Sunday will be focused on PWRDF needs and work. We will initiate a very large Christmas card on which people attending may sign their names, sending best wishes to the congregation and, in lieu of mailing Christmas cards out, make a donation to PWRDF in envelopes provided. This card will stay up, gaining signatures and funds until the Sunday immediately before Christmas. These names are then published in our Christmas Eve and Morning service bulletins.

St John's Anglican Church in Ida Ontario will celebrate the 50th anniversary of PWRDF with a service followed by lunch

St James Anglican Church in Orillia will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund on November 22.
